Clay laterals
- Bell-and-spigot joints offset
- Roots at every hub
- Broken tile in the yard
- Patches from three decades of cables
Every fixture slow at once, sewage at the lowest drain, or a lateral that has been patched more times than anyone remembers. Roto-Rooter clears main sewer lines in older Worcester houses. Call or text (508) 335-3306. HIC#208076.
Clay joints, roots, and a cleanout nobody has opened in a decade. A toilet clog is $200. This page is the line that serves the whole house.
If every fixture is involved, we do not start at the kitchen trap. We look for a cleanout — basement, exterior, or the stack — and cable from there. Worcester laterals are often clay from the foundation to the city tap. Roots at the hubs are normal. A cable will cut them; it will not round a collapsed tile back into a pipe.
When the cable skips, or the same backup returns, a camera is the next honest step, not a longer snake. Heavy grease and scale that a cutter will not move is hydro jetting. Repairing the pipe itself may be trenchless or excavation. Labor is quoted on site; you are not buying a package you cannot see.
Main sewer clearing is quoted after we see access and how far the stop sits. A toilet fixture clog is still $200 on the toilet drains page — that number does not cover the lateral. Camera and jetting are separate when we need them. If the line is broken, excavation is a different conversation before anyone opens the yard.
Call or text (508) 335-3306 with which fixtures are backing up and whether sewage is on the floor.
Flush another fixture. If the tub gurgles or the basement drain rises, it is the line. One toilet that will not go down, and everything else is fine, is often still a fixture clog.
Sometimes. Your lateral runs to the tap. A city main surcharge can push sewage back. We will tell you if the stop is on your side or if you need the city.
Not on a first cable. We camera when the line will not stay open. Digging is quoted after we know where the break is — not by guessing from the porch.
Stop using water. Call. Clearing the line is this page. Standing water is water damage. We will say which job comes first.
Yes when the pipe is the failure. That write-up lives on pipes. Clearing a clog and replacing a lateral are different invoices unless we actually do both.
