Water damage restoration in Worcester — after the room is dry

Floors, drywall, and base that took a leak or a flood. Roto-Rooter extracts first, then talks through what finishes have to come out. We do not hang new board on a wet wall. Call or text (508) 335-3306. HIC#208076.

What we restore and what has to come out first

Restoration is the finish work. Extraction and drying are earlier jobs. Most rooms need both, in that order.

Drywall and paint

  • Swollen board that will not dry in place
  • Cut-out at the flood line
  • Insulation that stayed wet
  • Prime and close after moisture checks out

Floors and base

  • Cupped hardwood and lifted vinyl
  • Wet carpet pad that has to leave
  • Soft subfloor at a toilet or tub
  • Baseboard that wicked up the wall

After a leak or flood

  • Supply-line burst, then the ceiling
  • Sewer backup into a finished room
  • Washer or heater that dumped a floor
  • Basement rec room that took the storm

Dry it, then put the room back

We do not start restoration while the slab is still wet or the wall cavity is still holding water. Water removal and cleanup come first. Once the moisture is down, we quote the cut-out and the put-back. Quality Professional Work.

A ceiling stain from a supply leak is also a plumbing repair. We will not close a wall over a line that is still weeping. If mold already showed on the finish, that is the mold page, not a paint-over. 61 Sandra Dr.

Labor rates

Restoration is quoted after the room is dry enough to measure. It is not a posted package that guesses how many sheets of board you need. New customers $75/hr. Regular rate $100/hr when the work is hourly.

Call or text (508) 335-3306 after the leak is stopped, or if the water is still in the room and you need extraction first.

Do not close a wet wall

  • Paint over a stain before the cavity is dry and you will paint over the next stain too.
  • Carpet pad that sat in sewage does not get “cleaned in place.” It leaves.
  • If the toilet flange sat in a soft floor, the toilet has to come off before the subfloor is honest.
  • A finished basement that floods every rain needs the sump or the floor drain fixed, not only new carpet.

Frequently asked questions

Can you restore while the water is still in the room?

No. Pump and dry first. Restoration is the finish after moisture checks out. See water removal if the floor is still standing.

Do you match the existing paint and floor?

We will not guess a sheen or a plank from a wet scrap. Bring a leftover can or a box of the same floor if you have it so the finish matches.

Is the plumbing repair included?

The pipe is plumbing. This page is the room. We can do both, quoted as both — not buried in one restoration number.

How do I get on the calendar?

Call or text (508) 335-3306. Photos of the wet room and whether the leak is stopped tell us whether this visit is drying or put-back.
