Hookup
- New unit into an existing space
- First-time install in a kitchen
- Supply from the sink stop
- Level, clip, and test fill
A new dishwasher in the box, a puddle under the old one, or a drain that dumps into the sink. Roto-Rooter hooks up supply, drain, and the air gap or high loop. You pick the appliance. Call or text (508) 335-3306.
We do the water and drain. A dead motor or control board is an appliance repair, not this page.
A dishwasher hookup is a supply line, a drain hose with a high loop or air gap, and a connection that does not rely on a saddle valve punched into a copper pipe. Those saddle valves fail. We replace them with a proper stop when we are already there.
You buy the dishwasher. We slide it, plumb it, and run a test cycle if power is already at the box. New circuits and hardwired appliances are outside this plumbing hookup. If the disposal knockout was never removed, the sink fills when the dishwasher drains — a common Worcester “the plumber who installed it never punched the plug” call.
Dishwasher plumbing is quoted on site. Hoses, stops, and air gaps are materials. A first-time rough-in (no drain or supply in the cabinet) is more labor than a swap in a space that already had a unit.
Call or text (508) 335-3306 with whether this is a swap or a first install, and whether a disposal is present.
If a cord and switched outlet already exist, we plug it in as part of the hookup. A new circuit or hardwire is outside this plumbing hookup and quoted separately.
We check the hose, knockout, trap, and air gap. If the pump is dead, that is the appliance, not the plumbing. We will tell you which it is.
Yes. Have it in the kitchen, still strapped to the pallet if delivery left it that way. We bring supply and drain parts if you did not.
Could be the door gasket, the supply, or the drain. We pull the kickplate and isolate it instead of replacing parts at random.
