Water damage cleanup in Worcester — the wet-room work

Cleanup we do once the water is on the floor

Cleanup is the wet-room job: pump, pull, and dry. Restoration is later. Plumbing is the pipe that caused it.

Extract and dry

  • Pump standing water
  • Air movers and dehumidifier
  • Moisture check before we leave equipment
  • Return when the numbers say it is dry

Wet contents

  • Rugs and pad that have to leave
  • Boxes off a wet slab
  • Baseboard that wicked
  • What can be saved vs. what is trash

After a leak or backup

  • Clean water from a supply break
  • Washer, heater, or tub overflow
  • Sewage from a floor drain or toilet
  • Storm water in a finished room

Get the water out, then decide what stays

If the water is still coming from a pipe, start with leaks. If the basement took the storm, see basement flooding. On this page we pump, set drying equipment, and pull pad, base, and board that will not dry in place. Sewage on a floor is not “wait and mop.” Clean water that sat in a pad for a day is not much better.

Finish work — new drywall, new floor — lives on restoration. Pump-only is water removal. We will tell you which visit this is. Quality Professional Work. 61 Sandra Dr.

Labor rates

Cleanup is quoted after we see the room and how dirty the water is. New customers $75/hr. Regular rate $100/hr when the work is hourly. Disposal, drying equipment time, and anything we pull that you want replaced later are separate. We do not bury a restoration in a cleanup number.

Call or text (508) 335-3306 with a photo of the floor and whether the leak is still running.

What you can do while you wait

  • Shut the water at the fixture, then at the house if that stop fails.
  • Stay out of the room if cords are in standing water.
  • Move what you can off the floor. Do not drag sewage-soaked carpet through the house.
  • A photo of the depth and the source — ceiling, drain, heater — is enough to know what to load.

Frequently asked questions

Is cleanup the same as restoration?

No. Cleanup is extract, pull, and dry. Restoration is putting finishes back. See water damage restoration for the put-back.

The water is sewage. Do you still come?

Yes. Say so when you call. We will also need the drain opened if it is still backing up. The line and the wet room are two jobs.

Can I run a shop vac until you get here?

Clean water, no cords in the puddle, and a vac that is rated for it — yes. Sewage, or a room with live outlets in the water — no. Shut the breaker and wait.

How do I get on the calendar?

Call or text (508) 335-3306. We take cleanup when we can get there. We do not claim 24/7 dispatch.
